Syntax to receive char from arudino to vbscript

hey guys. I'm doing a project which uses roborealm vbscript and arduino (using serial module). the vbscript will send a character based on the conditions I made from the image processed to arduino via serial port. I managed to do so, but the problem is I don't know what is the syntax for receiving a character from serial port (arduino sends characters) and then vbscript will send another character based on a condition. it's like a two way comm.
so could you guys help me with the syntax for vbscript to receive char from arduino and process it?
