Blob splitting

I am having a problem with implementing blob splitting. It seems to split the blob in an unexpected location. I have attached the pre-split and post-split images as well as the module variables I am currently using. I have tried a number of variable configurations, but cannot understand why is it splitting the blob pretty much across, between two other splits.

Also, I am already using an asymmetric Open function before blob splitting and would prefer not to go any further with it.

Can anyone have a look at it and make any suggestions?
