what would be involved in getting the usb missile launcher to be controlled from a web page remotely.
I've managed to get the image from a remote machine how could you go about creating an axtive x or java applet to send button clicks to the movement and fire vairables.

You may be interesting in a new capability we just added mentioned in a quick one page tutorial at

It should be relatively straightforward to change the control module from an Orbit camera to the USB Missile Launcher since they use a similar command variable.
Have a look and let us know if you need additional help. Note that you will need to download RoboRealm again as this is a new capability was just released today. Keep in mind any changed you have made to the index.html may be overwritten ... so make a quick backup of that file!

There seems to be a limit on the number of frames or something because the video freezes after a while.

Applet Timeout

Actually there is a timeout in the applet to stop after 2 minutes of streaming. This ensures that someone does not just walk away from their computer and have it continue to stream while they are not around.
We will make it more obvious that this has happened in the applet by displaying a sign or something.
You should be able to just reload the page and have the streaming start again. Does this not happen for you?
