What robots did you start out using?

Hi everybody! I'm a new-found robot enthusiast and I was interested in which robots all of you hobbyists started out messing with. Any answers would be great I'm really excited to get started!Thank you! :)

Nancy,
Typically its recommended that most folks start out with a kit as that helps you avoid the complexity of custom robots. I typically recommend something like the Lego NXT or Vex kits as a good compromise between a toy and a custom build.
They also have good instructions that help you to understand the basics of robotics by exploring the different things that you can build!
You can also see if there is a club or meetup nearby you which can also be fun. See
