RoboRealm Crashing WIth Arduino

So we are using RoboRealm to make a RC car that follows us... our first problem is that after about 1 or 2 minutes of roborealm running it lags. Can anyone tell me what the problem is... and I am using an I5 4 GB Ram Asus s400 laptop. Here is my code. Right now all we want it to do is if the object moves to the left turn on one led if it moves to the other side turn the other one on. As well one other problem is that if it doesnt move at all after a while the LEDs just turn off.
