Genius ilook 300 webcam not working with roborealm

Hi everyone,
I recently bought a genius ilook 300 webcam to use for a robotics project with roborealm. However for some reason roborealm is unable to access the camera and obtain the video.
As far as the camera is concerned am sure it is functional since it worked with the webcam app that came with it and I was also able to obtain its output in Matlab.
Any help on the issue will be appreciated. Thanks a lot folks!

I forgot to add, the camera appears in the option menu but am unable to get any video stream out of it. The green LED is off.
