Distributor Client Not Connecting When in Robo File

I am connecting to RR on my robot using a copy of RR on my desktop. The desktop robo file is attached.

The Distributor Client continually connects and disconnects until I open it and click cancel. I can open it again, select connect and it works fine.

The disconnect message ends with (1) when it is connecting and disconnecting.

Experimenting indicates this happens only when "Request Variable" is enabled. The variable does exist on the robot.
