Bag recognition

Hello
I need to detect various object coming into restricted area. One kind of objects in this area are bags (object on the left in the first image). Any other object (like human for example) is considered a threat. Can you give me any advice how to detect objects and how to check if object is a bag? As you can see on images attached, the colors of background and object are pretty similar.
