Has anyone tried testing the performance of RR on QEMU emulation (x86 app running on ARM machine)?

We haven't ... looks interesting though. The question is how well it achieves the virtualization esp when dealing with things like webcams. You can run RR on Ubuntu using Wine except when you try to connect to a webcam. Unfortunately the lower level hardware accesses common for USB devices can be difficult in those environments. But give it a try and see how well it works!
