Hi All,,
I am required to prepare a research in detecting fracture in long bones in x-ray images,,
1- is it required to convert the image into binary image? or I can process it in gray scale?
2- what are steps used in thi procedure?
3- Can I statistical models in thi procedure?

Tasneem,
You should convert it into binary if you need to perform blob analysis i.e. analysis that would include statistics about the shape, area, etc of the object. This is normally the case in most projects that require stats but not always.
