getting a black screen

Running Windows XP SP3 with latest DirectX drivers installed.
Brand new HP Deluxe webcam. Drivers installed. Camera works fine with the bundled Webcam Companion 2 software.
RoboRealm just shows a black screen no matter what I do. The LED on the camera is lit, and I'm seeing the image in the bundled software.
I was going to buy this program for my robotics project...

Nevermind, I figured it out. It doesn't like the webcam software to be running. Sorry for the bother.
