the telnet connection works but I dont'n know how to end it.
How should this be done?

Hi,

You could just terminate the socket connection OR you can use the

<request><quit></quit></request>

to terminate the connection from the server side.

Let us know more about your situation if this does not appear to help. Note that the quit routine was just added in 1.8.16.2
