Recording video

When recoding a video using "Write AVI", the file size is very large (1.5Mb per second).

Is there a way to record in a compressed video format? The final video stream does not have to be high res. Is there anything to prevent the file size from being so large?

Yes, you should be able to change the Compression Codec to something with a higher compression. We normally use the MPEG4 Codec V1 for web videos but it will depend on what Windows Codecs you have installed. Note that you can experiment around with several until you get the right size/quality ratio.
