Can you provide a link to the videos that you are using? Perhaps they exist somewhere on the web? If not try uploading them to a free upload service and post the link here.

Note that the technique will depend very much on the angle and view of the traffic lights. What is your project requirement? Do you need to identify lights at an obtuse angle? Or only directly ahead? What if something is in front of the light?

Thanks,
STeven.

Thanks for providing a link to the video. Is is possible to provide a form that can actually be downloaded and run through RoboRealm. Do you have an AVI or MPG copy of that video? Its a little hard to see traffic lights when the image is roatated 90degrees.

Also, it appears that there is only one traffic light during the sequence. Is that correct? It also appears to be washed due to the windshield of your car. This will make things extremely difficult to process. Right now the pictures that were submitted a while back with regards to this traffic light detection will completely fail as the assumptions are totally different.

Also, besides providing the video as an AVI or MPG can you snap a picture of the traffic light as it appears in the video and post that image here? Then we can all get a sense of what we working with.

Thanks,
STeven.

FYI, given the quality, color, stability issue of the video it is most probably that you will not be able to detect the traffic light with any reliability ... but that's no reason not to try!

There are many on the web. Just search for "free uploads". Perhaps you can try http://www.megaupload.com/ for starters.

Ok, we got the videos and images. The new video is much better than the last and probably more usable so we will focus on that. You'll have to give us a couple days (perhaps a week) to respond but be aware that we are looking at what you've provided.

Just a quick note to mention that we're still working on this. So far we have reasonable results but still more work needs to be done to increase speed and decrease false positives. Looks like about another two weeks before we're ready to launch this.

hi

Thnx for trying

I was wondering if there was a way to add a filter just after the Media Reader module so as to make the image less bright( to filter out the light in each frame which causes tracking of other objects)

This could be done so as to bring out the bright  traffic light in the video and to avoid detection of other red /green objects, and then the processing of each frame will perhaps give  better results.....

I thought i cld try it this way. u thnk it's possible??

Best Regards and thak you once again
