Hi RR Experts,
I would like to know if there is anything I can do to improve the frame rate performance of RoboRealm in my PC. Below is a comparison I done in 2 PCs:
PC1: Pentium 4 1.5GHz, 768 MB RAM, GeForce 6600 GS graphics card
PC2: Core 2 Duo E6300, 2GB RAM, GeForce 7600GS graphics card
Both PCs running WinXP SP2, DirectX 9.0c, RoboRealm v1.7.9.5, Logitech QuickCAM
The RR setting as follows (robo file attached for reference):
Color Filter
Center of Gravity
VBScript Program
Lego NXT
- video size 160x120, RGB
In PC1, RR is running at 14 fps, while in PC2, it starts at 30fps and drops quickly to 20 fps. Both PCs are not running other applications, and I shut down those unnecessary applications in the system tray (e.g. ICQ)
My questions are:
- Is there any benchmark for reference, running on other similar machines
- The PC2 result is a bit disappointed, I expect much better performance than the old P4 system, do anyone got any idea?
- What else can be done to further improve the frame rate? I am already using the smallest video size (160x120)
Thanks
