barcode length

Hi STeven

I was trying out the barcode module, printing codes and reading them. I find that two digit codes are not read, while 3 and up, are?

So I can easily read '516', but '56' shows nothing.
Codes tried were Code 39 and Code 128.

Are two digit barcodes, as a rule, not allowed?

I assume you mean something like the attached?

If so, the code for those is slightly different as there is a 01 in the middle. If you can post examples we can probably adapt the EAN or UPC to accept that format. Shouldn't be much different than the current format.

STeven.

Hi STeven

Sorry, I thought I had attached files. The thing is, I thought a two digit code would be a lot shorter than a three, and easier for the camera to see from a distance, but they are of similar length in 'Code 39'

So not to worry, I will use three digits. I was only wondering if I was doing something wrong, or what the reason is for the three digit minimum.

Regards
Roland
