Tracking Black Objects

I am trying to track a black, velcro covered disc, similar to a hockey puck. I was going to use pseudo-color to change black to green and then filtering out green. It seems to work but it doesn't filter out all the other colors. Anyone have any ideas?

Here are some photos. One is the disc, one is with psuedocolor change black to green, and one takes that and filters out green. As you can see there is still some other things picked up by RoboRealm.

I would just detect the gray/black directly (skip the green conversion since that's not really needed) and filter based on the puck properties.
