How can I make my car autonomous

I want to make my own platform with servos (Parallax servo controller) I want to know Step by step how to do this, The car will use 2 wheels and so both wheels go forward for straight, both back for backwards, one left one right for turning right, ect. so please tell me how to do this step by step.
