i made a program that tracks a red pen but my servo's respond very slowly, if i move fast the camera cant keep up.

You will have to increase the speed of the servos or create a more predictive movement. See the second robofile at
http://www.roborealm.com/help/Trossen_Robot_Turret.php
which tracks the last known direction of red objects, i.e. predictive. It gets complex so if you can increase the step speed of the servos that's always easier.
