Measuring angle of a tag in an image Idan from United States [2 posts] |

This project is concerned with measuring the angle that a white tag lies in an image. An example of what the image will look like is attached. The tag is white with a red dot in each corner. The picture is taken of the tag on a conveyer belt from above. The goal is to measure the angle of orientation of the tag in the image. The tag may be situationed anywhere in the image at angles from 0 to 90 degrees. The background is a different color from the tag and the tag position can be determined via the red dots in the corners.
I am new with roborealm and looking for help on how to approach this problem. Thanks.

Hi Dan,
Use shape matching.

Shape matching should work ... you could also try the Orient_Image module with a slight burring to make your artificial image have more of a gradient. See attached robofile.
