COG for large images Clint Chapman from Canada [20 posts] |

The COG module doesn't seem to work for the attached, very large image and the Geometric Statistics module gives negative values for the COG. I'm guessing it's an overflow problem? It would be great if it was possible to use the Circle module on this image as well (after using Canny edge detection of course).
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Clint

Clint,
The COG module has been updated to work correctly with this image (quite a big one!). Note that you can also use the scale routine to decrease the size of the image before processing as with the subpixel capabilities of the COG perhaps the precision would be enough even with a smaller image?
Regardless, 2.0.8.8 has the update.
STeven.

STeven,
Thanks for the update. As I stated in another message, we're trying to resolve circle centers with very high precision and that's why we're using such high resolution images. Thanks for the suggestion though.
