Load file runs slow

When I run a program that I have just set up it works fine until I save and reload the file then the computer slows down to an unusable rate. The problem only occurs with programs I have written, the examples load and run OK. I am Running Vista and a parana SD100 blue tooth serial adaptor to a ssc32. The comms  cycle open and closed when it is running slow. Overall I am impressed as a new user of the software and can see it has great potential !!.
