Joystick framedrop

Hi,
I am trying to use the joystick module for controlling my parallax usb servo controller.
But I get such a huge frame drop when activating the joystick module.
From 160 to 2 fps. The joystick is a Logitch WingMan Extreme Digital 3D.
I have tested this on two computers and i get the same result on both.
Anyone else got this problem, or know how to solve it?

Christian,
The joystick module was meant to be used with a camera activated. When no camera is being used it will reduce the cycle rate. We adjusted this to its maximum rate in ver 1.8.18.2 which was just updated on the website. Please download that newer version and you should see the fps remain quite high.
