        <title>null characters</title>
        <description>
        &lt;br&gt;How does one send null characters, ie 0x00 through the serial port in a string?&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;As seen in the attached pic, I can send the characters in the direct &apos;Send Now&apos; window, as in;&lt;br&gt;\\85\\170\\1\\0\\1\\0\\0\\0\\18\\0\\19\\1&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt; but if I concatenate characters with &amp; as in;&lt;br&gt;setVariable &quot;serdat&quot;,chr(85)&amp;chr(170)&amp;chr(01)&amp;chr(00)&amp;chr(01)&amp;chr(00)&amp;chr(00) ........&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;it stops at the first chr(00)&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I can&apos;t find the correct syntax to send my string out.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;regards&lt;br&gt;Roland&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;a target=_blank href=&quot;http://www.roborealm.com/uploads/26747_1.jpg&quot;&gt;&lt;img border=1 src=&quot;http://www.roborealm.com/uploads/26747_thumb_1.jpg&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;        </description>
