Science Fair Help

Hello! For my science fair project this year, I am trying to fly a kite robotically. I am using the Visual Basic plugin inside roborealm that then sends commands to a motor through the Phidgets motor controller. The kite is a kite-surfing kite. One of the lines is tied down, while the other line is wrapped around the spindle of the motor I am controlling. I was wondering if there is any way to draw a figure eight on roborealm and have the kite follow that pattern. I have tried using the optical flow function, but to no avail. All help is greatly appreciated!
