Polulu mini maestro compass

Hi, I am new at this and have a question. I am making an ROV and am going to use roborealm to drive the servos ect via polulu mini maestro 12.

I bought a digital compass (ATMEGA88PA+HMC1022 ) that I hope I can connect to the computer via mini maestro. I have tryed a little bit but cant seem to get contact in roborealm.

Is this possible, and how would I do it? Is there any "compass variable" i can use that can read to microcontroller?

Hope anyone can help me with this.:)
PS! I am an complete newbee so I need to get this served in an understandeble language..:P
