distributor_server question

When I set up a distributor server/client connection with another PC over internet (broadband), the video feed seems to struggle. It is set up to be transmitting a video (server) and receiving variables sent from the client.

Often the received video (at client) flickers to black, where black screen is more common than the video feed. I do vary the video compression.

(1) Could there be an issue with the upload speed of the video from the servers side, resulting in the client received video having a lot of black (empty) frames?

(2) Would adding video compression to the server (transmitting) side make any difference?

(3) Or, is there something else that can be done?

Thanks in advanced.
