Yes, those variables are accessible. See the GetVariableExample solution in the MSRS download at

http://www.roborealm.com/downloads/MSRS_v1.5.zip

All variables should be read and write accessible from MSRS ... so yes, you can use MSRS to set a motor variable that will command the SRV to move in a particular direction.

STeven.

Hi, yes, MSRS is necessary as this is part of a larger project implemented in MSRS.

With the add-in for the SRV-1, it looks like one can assign variables to control the motors along with other aspects of the rover. Are these variables accessable through MSRS?

Just a few ideas to think about.

Can you write AVI files in MSRS? I know you can in Roborealm. Then you could just open up the video stream in another program right?

I think you would be able to do your whole application within Roborealm, but it seems you are adamant you want to use MSRS.

These links may prove useful:

http://www.roborealm.com/help/Virtual_Camera_Driver.php
http://www.roborealm.com/help/MSRS.php

Maybe what I said gave you something to think about, but I would perhaps doubt that as I have never used MSRS sorry :S

Best regards and good luck

Ian

SRV-1 Blackfin MSRS

        Hi,

I see there is a way to connect roborealm to MSRS. Is there a way i can use the Surveyor SRV-1 blackfin to connect to roborealm. Then capture video AND control the SRV through roborealm from MSRS?

My application is simple, inside MSRS i'd like be able to acquire a pink balls distance and direction from the robot. Then from here, i'd like to control the SRV from this data. I know it can be done within roborealm, but i need MSRS.

Thank you,
Travis
