after further research it looks like this will be far too hard, so i'm just going to scrounge a tower off one of my friends who had mindstorms like five years ago.

using mindstorms 2.0 with a generic ir device

i've been thinking about building a robot arm and i want to use my old mindstorms stuff to build the shoulder and elbow joints that will take all the strain. the trouble is i cant find the ir tower.
i do have an infra red device and if i could get this to work it would save me 30 on buying a new tower, but i cant find any software that will do this.
does roborealm support the rcx with a standard ir device already?
