Robert,

I think you might need to *remove* the Windows drivers rather than just disable them. We found that any time they are present they will not allow the usb lib to configure correctly.

Also, you are using the old v1 Kinect right? The new one will NOT work with usb lib (and also uses different illumination).

If you are looking for an easier IR solution than using the Kinect may I recommend

Unable to find the Microsoft Kinect Sensor!

Hey guys, I've been trying to use my Kinect with Roborealm and I can't seem to figure out how to get the program to recognize the camera.

I have the Kinect plugged into a wall adapter that splits into a USB and serves as the power supply to the Kinect. I followed the tutorials on the website for installing the driver, and disabled Windows' driver signature verification for the driver's files. Then, I used hdwwiz to run these files, and allowed them access in the pop-up Windows sent. Next, I opened Roborealm and attempted to Insert the "Microsoft_Kinect" module only to be met with the "Unable to find the Microsoft Kinect Sensor!" alert. I tried rebooting my computer several times and restarting Roborealm, but each time it gives me that error.

So, what could be the problem here?
