Industrial Robot Serial Communication

        Hello Steven,
First of all, thank you for such a great piece of software. At our college we have a small industrial robot (ABB IRB-120) which has serial communication capability. Essentially my plan is to use a simple webcam with Roborealm to communicate the X & Y COG of training objects. THe plan is for the robot controller to trigger Roborealm to apply its object tracking and for roborealm to provide the X & Y to the robot controller.
I have the object recognition/web - camera part of it down. I'm getting confused with the serial communication between the robot controller and roborealm. Do you have any examples or tutorials that could help with this?
Thanks for your help,
Tim
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NoHwyg2AnOg
