Might be a better idea to track the airplane based on some other attribute besides color which can dramatically change due to lighting. Perhaps you can play with the movement module to see if you can extract out the moving plane from the rest of the scene? If not can you include a sample video watching the airplane so we can all get a better idea of the distance, image quality, etc.

Note that you might find the "Remove global movement" checkbox in that GUI worth trying out.

The problem I have with a specific color is that the plane actually changes from red to black as it flies though the air depending on the background.

I didn't make roborealm, but I have used it for a few years. It would be easy to track a colored airplane, and have roborealm move servos. It isn't to hard, but you would need a servo board that is supported in roborealm. Check the "interface" tab in roborealm, and you can find the different servo controllers that can be used with roborealm.

Tracking Flying Objects

I am looking for a software-hardware solution to tracking model airplanes as they fly around the field at our club. I would like to use a video8 tape based camera. Maybe your system could be used to drive servos to position the video camera???

Your ideas would be appreciated. Is it possible to do this with your software?
