You should have a look at the API at

http://www.roborealm.com/help/API.php

and download the example .zip file referenced in that page. It includes examples in both Java and VB on how to use the provided code (which implements the XML API protocol) to work with RoboRealm.

Alternatively, there are other ways that might be easier or quicker depending on what you want to do. See

i wanted to add some custom programs for creating a gui for my robot..now how do i interface those programs..which may be either written injava or vb with roborealm...i also need the programs to do some custom manipulation of the roborealm variables,....
